The World floats in the Void, made from the flesh and blood left behind in a battle between Ara, the chief god of good, and her brother, Zaraz, the chief god of evil. He was imprisoned in the center of the World by Ara, who then became the Sun. The World is orbited by the eleven planets, aspects of Zaraz, the first things created in the Void. They in turn are orbited by the sentinel moons, aspects of Ara and the last things created. Scattered amongst them are the houses of the eighteen mortal gods. R the creator, the great old one, and its siblings watch from afar as the uncaring stars.
The World is ancient now, existing in a state of precarious balance, having been swept by several waves of evil domination that were just barely righted by good.
The Bazaar of the Bizarre is an interdimensional market that lies on the northern edge of the northern continent and is the largest city and home to the Adventurers’ Guild. It is a chaotic beacon of stability in a wild, darkened World.
